Zofia Broniek was born in Lwów (today Lviv). Between 1952 and 1956 she attended the Art School in Krakow. Later, she studied at the Krakow Academy of Fine Arts; painting at professor Adam Marczyński's studio and lithography at professor Konrad Strzednicki's studio. She graduated from the department of painting in 1962.

Zofia Broniek has created paintings, drawings and prints. Her artworks have been presented at 20 individual exhibitions in Poland, Sweden and Norway and at more than 100 collective exhibitions (among others at the international biennales in Krakow, Ljubljana, Liège, Brandford, Frechen, Fredrikstad, at international drawing exhibitions in Barcelone and Wrocław, as well as at presentations of Polish art in many countries).

Her artworks can be found in the collections of the National Museums in Warsaw, Krakow, Poznań, Szczecin and  Wrocław, at the Museum of Art in Łódź, the Museum of Central Pomerania in Słupsk, the District Museum in Tarnów, the Museums in Chorzów and Bydgoszcz, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the National Library in Warsaw, the Library of the US Congress in Washington, the Museum of Modern Art in Skopje, the Town Council and the Municipal Gallery in Stavanger and in many Polish and foreign private collections.

Magdalena Kraszewska was born in Warsaw. She spent her childhood and youth in Zakopane, where she attended a secondary school. Then, between 1959 and 1966, she studied at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts (painting at professor Artur Nacht Samborski's studio and tapestry at professor Alina Śledziewska's studio).

After graduating from the Academy, the artist has mainly created tapestries as well as mosaics. Her tapestries can be found in private collections in Poland and abroad, her drawings and watercolours in the collections of the National Library in Warsaw and the Tatra Museum in Zakopane. Magdalena Kraszewska painted the frescoes presenting the Stations of the Cross at the Jesuit church in Warsaw dedicated to Saint Andrew Bobola. Since 1993, she has run a gallery of modern art at the Kraszewski family house in Zakopane, 19, Witkiewicza street.
